Enfield Town Model Railway Club

Our exhibition for 2007

A report on the show by John Green on behalf of the Enfield Town MRC

2007 sees the 30th anniversary of the formation of the club and our first exhibition in the old Holtwhites Hill sports pavilion in 1977. Our exhibition this year, was held on Saturday, 23rd June in St. Paul's Centre, Enfield Town. A good number of visitors came to see our show and hopefully they enjoyed the venue, talking to our members and seeing what we had on display. We had ten working layouts on show including scales and gauges of 'N', '00', 'EM', 'H0' and '0n30'. There was also a display of large scale buses and a number of trade stands selling all sorts of useful things for the modeller including books, models, tools, wire, switches, buildings and ballast to name but a few. Refreshments were available all day for the operators and visitors alike, kindly served by our partners.

We are planning to have another show at about the same time in 2008, hopefully in the St. Paul's Centre again. Details will be posted on this web site when information becomes available. The club welcomes new members. If you would like to see what we are doing, and maybe join in, please come along one Thursday evening and introduce yourself. Details of where we meet can be found elsewhere on our web site.

Below can be seen some photos which were taken at the show.
