The
Club held its annual exhibition at St. Paul's Centre, Enfield Town, on
Friday, 27th. June, 2009.
Layouts of "N", "OO" and "O" gauges were
on display as well as three excellent narrow gauge models. We are grateful
to their builders and operators for their participation at our show.
Four trade stands were present for those who wished to buy models, tools
and books, as well as our own club stand selling unwanted models and bits
and pieces.
Again we were pleased to have over 400 paying visitors, many with their
young children, who enjoyed the quality and detail of the exhibits as
well as watching the trains shunting or going round and round.
I would specially like to thank all the club members who put in so much
work beforehand; planning the exhibition and putting it up, stewarding
and clearing up afterwards.
Also we thank the ladies who put on a lovely buffet lunch for members
and exhibitors and sold tea, coffee, cakes and so on to our visitors all
day. Also thanks to our qualified First Aider, whose services were fortunately
not needed (but she worked in the kitchen all day).
We look forward to seeing you all again on Saturday, 26th. June, 2010:-
same venue, different layouts.
Best Wishes, John Green, Chairman.
